Jomsom Trek in Annapurna region
The trek is worth considering especially if you want to experience Tibetan like culture in Kagbeni and the holy pilgrimage site at Muktinath. The trek begins with a flight through the Himalayas to the airstrip at Jomosom.From here we trek up to Kagbeni the last village before Upper Mustang and the next day on to The Sacred Temple of Muktinath.A night is spent here before walking back through the Kalighandaki Gorge (the deepest gorge in the world) to the hot springs at Tatopani and onwards up to poon hill for a spectacular sunrise mountain views.The diverse landscapes and cultures to be found along the trek provide a true insight into the way of life of rural Nepal.
