Introduction
Fixed Departure for Trekking & Helicopter combined trip to Everest base camp in March, 2020
This trek, designed to include trekking at the initial section of the trip and helicopter to reach higher elevation, is best suited for those who have the dream of achieving the feat of reaching the base camp of world’s highest mountain but have concerns because of health or time off work.
The trekking also includes relaxed pace and minimum walking time a day so as to make sure that trekkers have adequate amount of time for acclimatization and feel most comfortable all throughout. We have included more days of trekking at the beginning to allow trekkers get fully acclimatized before flying to higher elevation. We believe that this trek gives the trekkers an amazing experience of trekking in the Himalaya and also the self-satisfaction of stepping at the base camp of the Everest.
Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek Experience
With an emphasis on comfort and safety, our Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek provides an unparalleled chance to witness the majesty of the Himalayas. The hike culminates at 5,500 m/18,195 ft (Kalapathar stage) and features an overnight stay at 5,140 m/16,865 ft (Gorekshep stage). The schedule is well organized with an acclimatization plan, the aim of which is to enable you to acclimatize slowly from the low altitude of Lukla (2,800m/9,185ft) which takes 10 days.
This track is receptive to people, with a moderate fitness level, able to carry out, approximately, 6 h/day of walking on an uneven surface. Although the trail is demanding, it is not a trailheads, and the pace is slow enough to handle beginners and intermediate hikers, with proper trailheads preparation in advance. We suggest preparing for the trek with several of the step hikes or walks, to increase fitness and familiarise oneself with the requirements on longer days of walking.
On the trek, you’ll only need to carry a small daypack (5kg) containing your essentials—water, snacks, camera, and valuables—while your main duffel bag will be carried by a porter. You’ll be supported throughout the journey by a team of experienced guides who will ensure your safety, share insights into local culture, and provide tips for managing altitude and staying healthy.
