Introduction

Pisang Peak (6091m)

Pisang Peak is taken as an easy trekking peak compared to other trekking peaks, whilst it is not technically difficult, it is more challenging than a lot of people believe. The western face of the peak is guarded by a hanging glacier and offers a considerable challenge. Pisang peak ascends from the yak kharkas up to its summit. Ascending and descending is done by the same route.A German Expedition team made the first ascent of Pisang peak in 1955.
