Introduction

Day to Day Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu

    Arrival Kathmandu Airport / pick up / transfer hotel / introduction and tour briefing / evening meal in a local restaurant.
  • Day 02 : Guided City Sightseeing

    A full days sightseeing in the Kathmandu valley / visiting all the major sites of interest.
  • Day 03 : Kathmandu to Sundarijal to Chisopani (2194m)

    From Kathmandu / private transport to Sundarijal (one hour) / from Sundarijal the trail ascends through light forest / to reach Mulkharka (1800m) / great view of the Kathmandu Valley / continue up the trail to Borlang Bhanjyang (2440m) / the route heads down the ridge through a forest of oak and rhododendron to Chisopani / spectacular mountain views / overnight.
  • Day 04 : Chisopani to Gulbhanjyang (2140m)

    The trail continues to descend from Chisopani to Pati Bhanjyang (1860m) / a Brahmin and Chhetri village / then a steep ascent to Chipling (2170m) / some good mountain views / continue on to Thodang Betine (2260m) / finally descend to the Tamang village of Gul Bhanjyang / overnight
  • Day 05 : Gulbhanjyang to Tharepati (3640m)

    The trail climbs and reaches Khutumsang (2450m) / we continue on with some good mountain views of the peaks above Langtang and Gosainkunda / on through a fir and rhododendron forest to Panghu / we then descend to Magen Goth (3420m) and finally reach Tharepati / overnight
  • Day 06 : Tharepati to Malemchigaon (2530m)

    The trail switchbacks steeply down / then continues to descend / through a forest of huge gnarled rhododendrons / a further steep descent to Chhyadi Khola / Crossing Chhyadi Khola bridge / make a short climb to reach to the large Sherpa village of Malemchigaon / overnight
  • Day 07 : Malemchigaon to Tarkegyang (2590m)

    From Malemchaigaon the trail drops steeply crossing Malemchi Khola / trail climbs up past the village school / a further climb up before we reach the first meadow of Tarkegyang (2490m) / then climb gently to / the picturesque village of Tarkegyang / overnight
  • Day 08 : Tarkegyang to Sermathang (2610m)

    From Tarke Gyang cotinue on to the pretty Sherpa village, Gangyul (2520m) / The trail drops a little bit and then climbs through deep forests / crossing a number of streams, to finally reach Chumik / then a gentle climb to the large village of Shermathang / overnight
  • Day 09 : Sermathang to Malemchipul Bazar (880m)

    Today the trail drops down / to the settlements of Nigale and Gyalsha and further to Raithani Gyang (2290m) / continue descending / through the chir pine forest / to the large fascinating village of Dubha Chaur / and on to Melamchi Pul Bazaar / overnight
  • Day 10 : Malemchipul Bazaar to Kathmandu / by Land Cruiser / transfer hotel

  • Day 11 : Kathmandu at Leisure

  • Day 12 : Transfer to airport / flight to onward destination
