Introduction

Within the mountain kingdom of Nepal, Buddhism and Hinduism have always flourished and evolved together side by side for hundred of years. The evolution of such important religions and dynasties have contributed towards the beautiful monuments and temples within Nepal there is so much depth of culture and history to explore. This tour is deigned to take in a lot of that as well as providing to to rest up and relax.

The second stage of the tour takes us through the fantastic scenary that makes up so much of Nepal on the way to Pokhara. We stop at Ghorka an old Newari town off the Kathmandu Pokhara highway to soak up the history of what has been the home of all the Nepali Kings since 1769. There is a lot to see here so we will spend the night. The following day we continue on to Pokhara to relax and rest up.As mentioned on many pages on this web site Pokhara is an extremely scenic town based around a beautiful lake and it has a mountain panorama probably second to none. There are numerous opportunities for either adventure such as paragliding or zip lining or perhaps just to relax and take it easy with some boating and lakeside walks or maybe take in an early morning sunrise view from the hill at Sarangkot .

From Pokhara we travel south towards the former capital of the Magar kingdom of Tanahun, Tansen (Palpa).Tansen is really quite special, a medieval hill town perched high above the Kali Gandaki River on the road between Pokhara and Butwal. Tansen is made up of narrow winding streets and it is liberally dotted with Newari shop-houses and temples, most of the centre is too steep for cars which only adds to Tansen’s charm an added bonus is that few tourists ever reach Tansen. We will spend two nights here exploring the town there are also some excellent hill walks here.

From Tansen we travel on to Chitwan National Park for a jungle safai.Chitwan is home to the endangered One Horned Rhino and also serves as a habitat to The Royal Bengal Tiger along with a host of other animals and birds. After departing Chitwan in the morning we continue to the hill resort of Daman to rest up overnight and soak in what is one of the best mountain panoramas in Nepal.

The next day we head back to Kathmandu for the last couple of days, a farewell evening meal is taken with our staff before your departure the following day.
