Day to Day Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

    You will be accorded a warm welcome at the airport and then transferred to the hotel and briefing about the tour
  • Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

    After breakfast there will be a tour of the main sights in Kathmandu: Monkey Temple, Durbar Square and Kumari Bahal, UNESCO world heritage sites.
  • Day 03: Arrival at Paro in Druk Air, Bhutan’s national Airline

    Arrival at Paro in Druk Air, Bhutan’s national Airline / the flight takes us over the great Himalayas / some wonderful views of the worlds highest glacial peaks / our representative will welcome us at the airport for the drive through the fascinating valley of Paro to Thimphu Bhutan’s capital / from the airport to Thimpu is 55kms / takes about 1.45 hours along the Pachu River and Wangchu River / paddy fields, orchards and farms / overnight at Thimphu.
  • Day04: Sightseeing around the Thimphu Valley

    After breakfast,a full day sightseeing begins with visits to the: Memorial chhorten (stupa) / impressive stupa built in 1974 by the Grand Queen Mother Ashi Phuntsho Choden in the memory of the Third King of Bhutan;The National Library which holds a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts, manuscripts and also modern academic books;The Handicrafts Emporium that displays a wide range of beautifully woven fabrics for man and women, crafted products and other decorative iteams;The Painting School, famous for traditional thangka paintings;The Institute of Traditional Medicine where rich herbal medicines abundant in the kingdom are prepared;The Tashichhodzong, the fort that houses the King’s Throne Room and other government offices. It is also the summer residence of the Monk Body.
  • Day05: Drive back to Paro

    After breakfast drive back to Paro : Hike one hour to Taktsang. Spend a full day at Taktsang, the Tiger’s Nest Monastery. This magical monastery clings to a vertical granite cliff 3,000 ft above the valley floor. Legend says that Guru Padmasambhava flew here on the back of his favorite tiger. When the Guru finished his meditation, he was instructed to build the Monastery. Lunch will be at the Tiger’s Nest teahouse. Overnight at hotel
  • Day06: Paro Departure to Kathmandu

    Early breakfast in the hotel and drive to the airport for flight to Kathmandu
  • Day 07: Kathmandu – Home

    We will arrange a free transfer from the hotel to the airport for your international flight home with beautiful memory.
